Newbie Chicken Mom

Hi All! I just got my chickens for the first time a few days ago. 2 Wyandottes 1 year old, and 3 Production Reds 4 months. I had to separate them, pecking order was very harsh. I'm very excited to have my first egg this morning! Yay! Wyandotte, I was kind of stumped, the egg was white, and I thought they should be brown. Any suggestions or help is always welcome. Thanks for having me!!

Welcome to BYC! Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.

Congrats on your new birds! AND congrats on the first egg!:ya Egg color can vary from hen to hen. One of my hens lays creamy-white eggs when her breed is known to lay brown eggs. I wouldn't worry too much about it ESPECIALLY since it is her first egg. Color can change after the pullet lays more.

I set fire to the rain! Watch it pour as I, touched your face. Well it burn while I cried, because I heard it screaming out your name. And I threw us into flames. I knew that was the last time, the last time...I set fire to the rain! -Adele
