I'm super worried! One of my chickens was pecked in a few spots by one or some of the other chickens. I don't know how long she was sitting out in the pen hurting before I saw her. She's missing a few feathers on her back and rear and she has two pretty nasty pecked holes on either side of her face. I've cleaned them and brought her inside with me. Any advise?

Keep her isolated from the rest of them. Clean her wounds daily, make sure she has access to plenty of food and water, and provide a box or something like that with litter so she'll be comfortable. If she must stay outside, install a red light in the coop so that the others can't see it. But just keep her away until her sounds heal. I hope she gets better!!

I currently have her separated. She is with me in my room, with food and water and bedding. I'm so worried!

Great. Thanks for the help! She is currently sleeping. I really didn't think that I would be such a momma about the little ladies but they really are like my little children. I'm hoping she gets better. She's breathing fine, she's warm, she did drink some water but only after I put her beak to the water. I'm going to be a nervous wreck til she is up and back to normal.

I'd be the same way. I'm sure that she'll get better soon, just keep a close she on her, and I'm sure that she'll make it through.

Maybe add some electrolytes to her water just for that little extra boost of nutrition. These birds get stressed out just like people. LOL Poor thing.

I agree, if they're stressed out, the won't get better. Just keep her happy, comfortable and entertained (and keep her wounds clean) so she'll start to improve soon. I hope she gets better!
