Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Diverse farm you have there! I can picture Batman's ears sailing through the air as he runs through Gotham.

Gotta have them big floppy ears so they go behind him like a cape, right?

Hope they arrive safe. How long will they take to grow out?

Thats a good question. The person donating them to me slaughters at 6-7 weeks, but they have 24 hours light. Mine will just have the regular daylight hours (12) so it will be interesting to see how much longer they take and how it effects their flavour / texture. I'm thinking of doing a chicken cook-off to see how they differ - it will likely end up with too much drinking, as do any occasions here in Kenya (including kids birthday parties!) but if we get the chicken test done first, DW will remember the results as she rarely drinks

Sounds like my kind of occasions.

Well, here they are! Just need to get some kitchen paper down in their "oh so classy" brooder

Bunch of picture of some of my critters.

You have a bunch of critters! All very pretty!

All is well, thanks, Chaos. My new little meaties should be arriving today, so that's something to look forward to!
