Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I think it looks something like this:

My poor little new girls are so discombobulated! They are a nervous wreck. You can tell that they have not been handled except for moving from one location to another and they are so freaked out about being by themselves. They are either pacing the side of the pen that faces the other chickens or they are huddling in the hutch where they feel safe.

Wish I could speak chicken so I could tell them that they are not on the dinner menu.

Poor girls! I always feel bad for the newbies.

When we got our last pullets they were like that. Mostly I just left them food and made sure I didn't bother them too much, now look at them.

Wouldn't trade her for the world! Her sire was my best friend and hunting buddy. He had a lot of English Lab blood in him so he was, of course, very intelligent.
Maybe a tad better. Go back for a CT scan tomorrow (whatever that is). I think I have chicken fever....
Glad you're doing well!

Wouldn't really use the word well as but better I see light at the end of the tunnel. I'll go sit in my deer blind for a little while tonight and I'm hoping tomorrow to feel more normal. But at least my x-rays were clear. And I'm starting to come around. Hope you do feel better my friend...... Phil

Aww, poor girls, the first few days are always so rough. With all the love they're sure to get in their new home I'm sure it won't be long before they have settled right in.

Me too.

Yep - doesn't take long at all for them to figure out where their bread is buttered!

She's good...kind of fearless. The older 3 are scared of her.

Sounds like she is definitely starting off on the right paw there!
