Awe well thats not right! I wish u luck w anymore you try to save!

We did the best we could, i did wrap the rose bushes(from ground level while huge :lau) which are now compleatly wild things, but a whole 4 months there we couldnt do Anything. And it was a super harsh winter for us, it Snowed Twice! :gigPreviously id only Seen snow twice in my lifetime! The fig tree also put out nicely over this winter but i dont like figs, i like satsumas so im still kinda peeved to loose it:hit. We got litterally Hundreds and Hundreds of lbs of fruit off of it in two years:drool.
I'm going to get a lot of gooseberries this year if the flowers are anything to go by.
I've been trying to save 5 of the olive trees that are here. There are at least 50 dotted around the place. I keep finding them as I thin out the trees.
I planted 5 Quince trees a couple of years ago and they are looking good now.

This is insane... four counties to our SE are now in a severe thunderstorm warning along with the blizzard. :lau
Had a bit of a storm here this morning. It blew in from nowhere, put down an inch and a half of rain, knocked some trees down and went away. The sun came out after, 73 degrees F in the shade.

Just went out to the coop. DH opened the breezeway pophole earlier so they could get to the greenhouse without having to fight the wind or get their toes in the snow but,,,,,nope,,,, not leaving their cozy warm coop  . They were all lined up on the roost bar near their oil heater giving me the stink eye like the loss of their beautiful spring grass was my fault! :lau Hey, at least yesterday they got to play an extended game of "Chicken ball" with what was left of what once was a nice fat field mouse that spent the winter stealing chicken treats from the greenhouse. At least my BO Cashew had already done in the poor thing before the other birds spotted she had the "ball". :pop

Speaking of field mice, I thought I saw one the other evening. Then yesterday evening, I picked up the duck feeder and saw dark fuzz between the two boards under the feeder. Thought it was a mouse, then it took off and I realized it was a ground mole!! I have been stomping tunnels all over the place, now I see what’s making them. :he

I have no idea how to get rid of them.

I've been thinking about you and bobbi-j and chickisoup all day - don't hurt yourself !
Thanks, Sour. Went out and tromped around in it for a while, just to get some fresh air (and do chores). It's heavy, wet stuff. Packed full of moisture. Fortunately, we don't shovel. DH uses the skid loader to clear out the driveway.
