Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I guess I'm the odd man out. I generally prefer kids to adults. :idunno Our kids were/are a blast and so were their friends. Well on second thought daughter's friends were pretty neat - son's were somewhat intellectual for me. Grandkids on the other hand are a whole new level of special fun without the responsibility.

See... I have trouble imagining grandkids being anything more than annoying...

The whole reason we decided to have kids was because we wanted grands. Seems our kids have a different view on the matter, but we’ll see. I was in my 30’s before I was adult enough to even consider having kids.

I'm thankful to have had my kids young. I was 21 when my son was born and 23 when my daughter was born. DH and I always said that it'll be great that we'll still be fairly young when our kids move out.
The Princess was 19 and I was 22 when our son was born. Daughter was born 19 months later. We grew up ? with them, shipped them out, and have continued enjoying life together. It can work like that.

@Alaskan - grandkids are all the fun with none of the responsibility. I've had great fun with ours.
