Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Good Morning, Pond!
Had the two grandkids (ages 5&2) from 9:00 yesterday morning until bedtime. It was a good day, but I was exhausted by the end of the day. We spent time in the garden, “helping” Grandpa, playing outside, and picking eggs. They each planted a tomato that they started from seed. Grandson (5) named his “Tomatey”. Every time we headed out the driveway, Granddaughter stopped and collected more rocks, putting them in her little cloth bag that she had brought along. (Her mom will have quite a surprise when that gets dumped out! :lau )

Have a great day, everyone! I’m catching up on house stuff this morning so I can take some time this afternoon to pamper myself before Camp starts on Sunday.

What a perfect day!!! They may not remember the details of the day, but they’ll never forget how they felt!

With all of the excitement of kid 3 getting on a boat... and yes, he is now out on the boat...

I didn't mention that kid #1 is now accepted into seminary. :th

He will leave mid August.... it will be hard not having him here... our church is tiny, tiny, tiny..... he is our only Reader and Subdeacon... services will keep on... but... not as smoothly!

Just, WOW! Kid 1 is "old" now, and has been away from home on more than one occasion... but this leaving feels like it will be more permanent.

Ah well, we shall see!

I caught mine trying to fill up a cooler with rocks on Mother’s Day. Then I found one of the drain pipes filled with rocks. I suppose they could be playing with worse things. :p
