@CTKen Pay no mind to the chicken chit. I made the entry holes a tad big so thats why there's extra caulking.

I think I know what's wrong with the heat tape and its my stupidity. I put the sensor on the shut off valve...which is close to the barrel, which has a tank heater in it. Betting water isn't froze that close to the barrel causing the heat tape to not heat up...

Thanks alot, Chaos. Ive done simpler but similar things but i noticed feather-wear on the necks of my flock, which i did not like. You don't see that kinda thing?
