Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Interesting start to the day... cat caught and killed a baby mole and left it out as a trophy... 4 juvie Calls decided to play keep away with it for a couple hrs... blue bibbed ate it... carnivorous little ducks... :gig

And 8 of my 12 internal pips have externally pipped on their own! :D

Awesome! :yesss:

Thought you were down-sizing ? Then again, you sold some last weekend, so it's "kinda" the same deal :)

:gig

We downsized more on the chickens, and amount of breeds... the ducks are much easier to care for, actually... and if they're gonna hunt their own food now... well... :lau

Plus this is a new drake over our main flock... have hatched a few of his offsprihg and gotten some unexpected results, so we want to see what he throws for sure...

Ah, so it's just for research purposes - sure, I get that ;)

Good lookin pips! ;) I see a few double-taps too.

If these are strong enough to hatch on their own, I would think that would be a huge plus!

All in the name of research :D

With Calls, hatchability isn't just about strength. Good type on a Call includes features (like a short bill) that can make it tricky for the little guys to get out of the shells.

Sending lots of good hatching vibes!
