I'm at the beach so it's all good here. However our house sitter is trying her hand at a chicken rodeo this morning! She didn't close the coop door all the way and my AM teenagers took advantage of the opportunity.

Congrats!

Color me jealous! I tried raising Calls a few years ago; had rotten luck hatching, then some stupid snake killed off my breeders before I had time to get it right. Maybe someday I'll try again.

Well, Juice momma hatched all 10 babies.  One is still a little weak, and not following her around like the rest.  I hope it will get better today.  Hated to tear myself away to get to work, but I got a few pics.

What a fabulous picture, Phil.  Sounds like a great evening, glad the new rod and reel have been broken in successfully, wouldn't want to catch anything too big right off the bat.

That is one thing I have noticed about water down South, it's all so brown...........show people a few pictures of lakes and streams back "home" (PNW) and they can't believe water is so clear.

Ooops, bet that won't happen twice, just takes one day of chicken chasing to learn to close doors and gates tightly.

Where are we going, and why are we in this hand basket?

I am insane, I cut my teeth hatching Calls on shipped eggs... took many, many batches to get a good system down... they are not easy, but once you get 'the feel', your success rate will jump drastically... smile.png
