Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

:plbb

Just examples... any good sharp one will work, that's all I was trying to stress... the waxy coating and tough shell of duck eggs makes it super tricky... forcing the point in can end in tragedy... I've got personal experience with that, but got lucky... :/
Drywall screws would actually be sharper than wood screws. :p
Thanks again.

I saw the Chrissy update! She is looking good!! you have to be so relieved!!

I used a fishing knife with a sharp point for my last safe hole... That ok with ducks?

BTW, you see the Chrissy update?? :D

I'd actually never use a knife for those... if that slips, much more dangerous than a screw or nail...

Yes, I did! Commented in an Ovate... very great news! :thumbsup

Yes, they are... I think I used a wood screw once in a pinch though...

Ravyn, I've thought of another question! :lau Are chicken and duck air cells roughly the same or do they grow differently?

Dan, I am more than happy to help you and answer questions, but you seriously need to back up and rethink your response to earlier help... if that confuses you, PM me and I'll explain...

That's true...

I'm much more optimistic about her recovery now that I'm not having to make her eat. :D

I'm sure she will be making a mess in no time!! Until then enjoy the cleanliness

I sure am!! :lau

Wow... I am dropping the CL you amuse me thread...

Oh no, I updated TJ on my egg shipment, then came here. I'll have to go look. But yea, that thread is mostly just stupid now. Not the original intent. :/

I saw video of her eating! :ya

Was there something else?

Serama eggs arrived from California, all 12 intact, none broken (no extras, either)

Air cells are wonky, 4-5 totally detached. Plus the cold has me worried. But we'll see what the Brinsea can do with them.

I'm going to put a few of my bearded cochin pullet eggs in too. :ya

glad they made it unbroken! Are the detached ones just one bubble? Or many small bubbles?
