That's a gorgeous shot Phil, and a funny story. Guess he was full of courage today!

Hi, Phil.  I've  been enjoying your fishing stories so much that I pulled out a couple of fishing poles.  I'm going to take a change of clothes and wet my line on the way home from my business trip tomorrow, I'll be not far from the Grand River all day.

Walnut Hill Farm

250+ chickens, 50 turkeys, baskets of eggs...incubators in all shapes and sizes...hatching March-July and wishing I was hatching the rest of the year.

I've got a bunch of cockerels and want to grow out 3 of them for another year-if they can get along with each other that long.
And Friday, here I'm hoping my 8 cockerels will live happily ever after...together!

I got two drakes that decided to fight all day on the hottest day of the year.
I guess the dominate drake (Mean Duck) is no longer the dominate drake as Not Mean Duck kicked his butt all day i guess karma sucks.
I love this photo!

I really took stock tonight in the fact that I can jump in my truck and be fishing in my boat within 15 minutes.
I'm surrounded by simple beauty.
I caught a nice pike tonight.....not a huge one by any means...but okay. I would have took a photo but I was alone and wanted to release it safely. I shouldn't take for granted how good I have it.
