Those idiots would probably have resumed torture as soon as I left, or next time they saw it.

Yeah, after I cooled down I thought about that.  Coulda-shoulda-woulda.  I could take it back, but I'll call the DNR field office in the morning to see if it's okay to release it in the park near me with similar ecology.  If not I'm up for another long drive in the country.  I don't have enough farm for this big boy, and no game preserves around here but the metropark has a dammed up creek and a couple hundred acre lake so it should be okay.

Walnut Hill Farm

250+ chickens, 50 turkeys, baskets of eggs...incubators in all shapes and sizes...hatching March-July and wishing I was hatching the rest of the year.

Incubating in a vintage GQF 1402 cabinet

No good deed goes unpunished . And yet we do them anyway . That turtle will be better off anywhere you take it than to go back there . Send it to Phil in a box he can release it to the big woods . Maybe USPS won't kill it .

The good deed would have been if I had tied those two to the back bumper and dragged them down the gravel road.

You sure they are not Kilts, Sour? I get the feeling this was somehow autobiographically anecdotal on your behalf :hu
