I've only heard bad things about FLF Cemani stock. The Facebook group has some horror stories.

Bad news, I just realized I hadn't misted the Call eggs in the Leahy and while trying to do that dropped an entire tray of them... no idea yet how many are saveable...

Hubby is home safe too. It wasn't someone shooting in his building, but someone driving around town. Supposedly 3 people shot, at last report, and one was just a couple of blocks from his building, which I suppose is why the authorities notified them. But he made it out and home.

He said it was funny how the folks that do know that he carries a pistol at all times were following him around.

I'll get it answered, but probably will be this evening... did skim through and one thing I can say now is, I have no idea which are male or female... first feathers/juvenile feathering is always female color/patterned... the males won't show their true colors til adult molt... only way to tell gender is to vent sex or wait til the girls find their quacks, sorry... gorgeous batch of 'lings though!

Well durnit, I thought I was on to something. suppose you would have told me if the coloring was indicative, duh. I can't catch who peeps when, so it may take a while.

Once their voices start breaking, you won't miss it, lol! Girls are LOUD!

Yeah, I woulda told you, but still never hurts to ask!

As for Brooke, I just gave her tons of snuggles... she got traumatized enough... she's the one duck that seeks us out and when you pick her up, she sits down comfortably in your arms and actively snuggles you... would've missed that sweet duck...

Must be a Jersey thing.  I spend a lot of time outdoors, and have never seen a bird fight to the death.  The survivor was still beating the heck out of the dead bird.  I put the dead bird on top of the outdoor garbage container.  The Princess was painting a couple of outdoor tables.  When she went to put the trash from that in the container, she saw the dead bird and freaked.  In trouble again.
