You probably can't see it but if you zoom in....there's a eagle grabbing a fish in front of me......i would have got a picture of it flying 10 feet over my head but it came from me and i didn't get my phone out quick enough.
I just broke my line on a fish....

Dang it Phil !

I plan to get a bunch done tomorrow....i did get my gate built today.....but still have 200 feet of fence left to hang.
And i still want to get the Firebird fired up this week.
I did finally get a Dr appointment for Monday so i can talk to him about my asthma issues.
Then Tuesday i have to go get my glaucoma checked....got to drove all the way to Iron Mountain for that though.

I'd love to see a pic of your Firebird.

Riddle me this!? We've been picking produce since sunrise. How can a crow determine when a watermelon is at its peak ripeness? Those suckers will be in a pile of melons but only peck out the ripest ones!

Help me out here with some honest criticism. Here's my only Ameraucana roo. He's just five months old. He's BBS but I'm not sure what his color is exactly. Pics were taken on July 4th after Gus had just enjoyed some watermelon so his beard was a little sticky.

He's blue, has to be

, but a very dark blue. I know someone who is growing out some very similar, and the blue is so dark that it mutes the lacing in the cockerels, but it looks very good on the hens. He's trying a different combination now to throw some lighter blues and see how that works out. I think your cockerel over blues, and a splash if you have one

, would throw some very nice colors

ETA: I'd like to see a straight on shot of his breast. Any leakage around the shoulders?

Good news and bad!  I assume you've found a new place?

Yeah, we're moving into a town home for a little bit. We're excited for the change, but my daughters have been pretty sad about having to give up the chickens. I had to promise my older daughter a small flock of speckled Sussex hens when get back into a house.

Still raining WV? Glad you sold your house Farmboy ! Don't be a stranger just because of your temporary poultry pause!

Not now. Rained a little overnight. Humidity is still high of course. How's it looking down your way?

Oh, just tracked my eggs. Both are still showing at my local post office, but not out for delivery yet. I'm watching them closely, so I know whether to go home at mail time, to get them out of the heat-humidity-rain-yuck.

I'm not quite sure how they do that, but I had a dog that only picked the most perfect green peppers also!
