Scared to death

Ok, so 12 hours later and chick #1 hasn't made much progress

. Here is an updated picture (be advised, I changed the exposure of the pic so the crack would be more visible)


Is that normal? The zip looks like it's going the wrong way...or is that even enough of a crack to be considered a zip?

Meanwhile egg #2 has a hole!

I don't think I'll get much sleep tonight lol.
I would give them some more time. Remember, it's best NOT to open the incubator after day 18 (as tempting as it might be!). Do you know what the humidity is?
 
My humidity is 62%...or so the incubator reads; and that's with water in all the wells.

I haven't opened it yet..but it's so tempting when I hear them talking

After keeping me up worrying all night, at 1107, Akea (unisex African name for firstborn) has made their appearance!!

This is so exciting, I am just so happy that even with a crappy incubator, I got a beautiful offspring of my late Roo
