I hope you don't mind if I jump on here, but I have a similar question. This little 4 1/2 week old chick is suppose to be a Buff Orpington pullet...but I'm thinking her wings look a little frizzled. Can a BO carry the frizzle gene?
Agree with JaeG (who gave excellent photos and explanation of frizzle).
Your little chick looks to be a Buff Orp with a "bad hair day" that is common when they are going from fluff to feather...they can get pretty scruffy until the "real" feathers grown in.
Color, comb, and skin color all indicate a Buff Orp on track.
