I've been trying a number of different ways to get my chickens (4 of them) to take levamisole. I've tried putting it in the water - which they wouldn't drink for over 24 hours, they looked really sick (i.e. eyes closing) so I caved in gave them fresh water which they gulped down. Today, I tried making a porridge and mixing in the levamisole - they ate a couple beakfulls but then walked off wiping their beaks disgustedly! I'm planning on giving up on levamisole and going back to piperazine as this seems much easier (they gobble it up in a porrige). Does anybody at all have success stories with levamisole?

I haven't used levamisole, but Wormout Gel should be available to you in AU. It is put in the water also for 2 days, and my chickens have drunk it well. It gets all chicken worms. As for the levamisole, have you double checked how you are mixing it? Chickens can be finicky about how things taste. Usually if I mix feed with yogurt and water, they will eat anything else I put in.

I mix it with weetbix and water which they usually LOVE!!! But stil no luck. Perhaps I'll have to look around for who sells wormout gel if that's more palatable.
