My wife and I are new proud chick owners. We got 8 Rhode Island Pullets this weekend to raise for eggs, and hopefully acquire more in the future. I have already built a coop w/3 nesting boxes, and bought a 10x10x6 dog lot for there run. We will be reading the forum, and asking quite a few questions as our kids grow.
 
Kudos to you for having your coop ready before you got chicks! At this rate, I'm going to be lucky if I have mine finished before eggs start appearing... They've got a pretty good temporary set-up right now, just not what I had planned before other more urgent things intervened.
