Ok guys, I found this little abandoned chick that is VERY small and is possibly a day old (maybe hours old). I am currently taking her home right now to put her/him under a heat lamp and in the brooder. Could anyone possibly tell if this is a pulley or a roo? Will send pictures below.

You're right, it's probably no more than two days old, even one day old.

Judging from the wing stubs, there's a good chance it's a pullet.

Do you have other chickens? I suggest rigging up a heat pad cave for it, place it in a safe cage or pen in the coop with your other chickens if you have a flock, and it will be a lot more content and feel less alone.

Some old sock rolled up into balls and placed around the chick under the heat pad will also help it to feel like it's with other chicks.

See Blooie's thread "Mama Heating Pad for the Brooder" for info on how to set up the heating pad cave.

Success! Thank you SO much! She is eating and drinking and she has LOTS of energy! I am so thankful!
