I rescued this duck about March 20th, the previous owners child had carried it and fallen with it and broke its leg. We put a splint on it and bandaged it around the waist since it seemed to protrude there (previous owners had the leg bound near body)
It healed up great and we got it three white ducks for company, lost one white duck to a snake. All ducks kept in coop and run with the chickens of about equal age.
I believe it to be about 2 to 3 months old, but I haven't had ducks in a long time so I'm not sure. I hear a sort of quack, like a young boys voice cracking, his is how the sound of the quack (like its breaking) duck is.
Starting to feather out but has a white ring around its neck. Mallard hen don't look like this one and neither do Rouen hens.
