Mail order eggs

Hey y'all!! I've got 15 eggs on the way 🐣 What's your best mailed egg advice on incubating? I've heard about letting them sit for 24 hours prior to incubation. Is there anything else? I've successfully incubated and hatched local eggs but this is my second time trying mailed eggs and I really really want it to be a moderate success! Thanks in advance 😘

@Sally Sunshine included a section on shipped eggs in her article here: http://www.backyardchickens.com/a/hatching-eggs-101

Her current hatching thread is linked to in the article as well, if you want to go hatch-along and make use of the wonderful combined experience and advice from the hatchers there:

Best of luck with your hatch!
