has anyone converted a steel shed?

I am thinking about converting a steel shed into a coop. If you have done this can you please post pictures and any advice you have for me. I am still pretty new to all of this so I wan to get as many ideas as I can before I start. Thank you !

Make sure ya got windows... metal coops get hot in summer

Yes! Great idea! Mine will be completely shaded so hopefully that will help too. I was thinking about cutting several smaller ones along the top and covering with hardware mesh for the ventilation.

I have a 4x8 metal coop had it for years. I insulated it with Styrofoam and cover the insulation with the veneer off of interior doors. Warm in winter and cool in summer with plenty of air circulation. Predator proof (as long as I remember to close up the doors) and rodent free. I kept as many as 26 birds in three level coop with no problems and they stayed in the coop all winter never venturing outside hardly ever. I scraped the metal doors in favour of hinged wooden door. Metal doors were impossible due to freezing litter in the tracks.

Wow!! You did a great job! I'll definitely be doing the styrofoam and wood over it.

My shed is aluminium but make sure you have windows
