Help!!!last week one of my chickens started walking differently with her butt tucked under, she was hot/feverish to the touch. I thought she may be egg bound so I treated her as such but now her face and comb are dark and she is barely moving and now another one of my chickens is starting out the same way. I have no idea what's wrong and I don't know what to do, please help me!!

Have you felt inside the vents 1-2 inches with a finger to feel for an egg? When more than one chicken becomes ill at the same time, it is a good thing to look at your feed for mold or an "off" odor, check for moldy areas in the coop, or anything out the ordinary. Coccidiosis, crop infection, something bad they eat--just look around. Do you have a vet who could see them, or at least run a fecal float for cocci, worms, or bacteria on their droppings. I would probably also call your state vet office in the department of agriculture to ask about any unusual diseases going around. If one dies, I would get a necropsy by the state vet. In some hens they can suffer from egg yolk peritonitis, especially if they are 2 or older, but it also can occur in younger hens.
