This little guy(gal?) has the craziest wings. What causes this? Doesn't seem to impede him. At 3 weeks he does everything any normal chick does. I think it's kinda cute actually - but should I be worried?
And his little butt has never been pasty, sore, or picked at by the other chicks, yet remains a bit...well...naked. Is this bad? I've never had a chick/chicken with a bare bottom.

My bantam cochins also look like this with feathers everywhere at this age. They smooth down as they feather out more in my limited experience.

Bald butts are common after a bout of pasty butt...the dried on poo can rip out the underlying down. It may have happened before you even got the chick. No worries, it will grow back eventually, just not soon.

Whew! Thanks for the reassurance.
