Hi,
My names is Janet. A little over a year ago my husband and I bought a home with about 8 acres. I got my first babies in May of 2015. I lost one of the original 14 in December but my other girls are hearty and healthy laying on average 10 eggs per day. I recently made the decision to totally free range them and the new 19 babies we bought earlier this year. I have a contact to sell eggs to a local business so I opted for plenty of hens. I absolutely love my chickens and I look forward to learning more about their care and upkeep. A question I am often asked is what happens once they no longer lay eggs and my immediate response is that they just get to be chickens.
