My first post on this site but I haven't been able to figure out why all my keets are dying. I hatched 10 keets last week that appeared to be very healthy. They were vigorous their first 3 days and then each and every one of them declined on day 4 and then eventually died on day 5.
I have them in a very large clear tote with a towel as the flooring. I have them in a spare bedroom that has it's own thermostat and I'm keeping it at 85 degrees. Originally I gave them tap water but figured that was the problem so I switched them to well water after about 5 died. The last 3 to hatch have only had the well water. The feed is a Meat Bird crumble feed that is 21% protein.
Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? I observed the last 3 drink from the waterer so they are getting water.
