It's all good. Help me determine?

Father is Brahma/Wyandotte cross. Mamas could be - RI red, SLW, Speckled Sussex, Australorps.

First up is who I am fairly certain is the SS's chick! My daughter named it Spring because it hatched the first day of spring - but, I'm thinking we need a more manly name?!

Next up - I THOUGHT when hatched were the RI red babes, but they're awfully white! Maybe his Brahma roots really stuck??

And this white one is definitely from our mixed bird. We call this one "Tyranasaurus-Stegosauruas Rex". He's had a red comb for a while! It was pretty big from day 1.

Let me know if you need better pictures! They're hard to photograph!

Do you know the colors of the rooster’s Brahma/Wyandotte parents? If they are both red then the white ones would have to be male red sex link chicks from your SLW hen. If one of his parents was white or mostly white then all bets are off as far as that goes. I suspect one had a white body with black markings.

Unfortunately they all look male to me, though there is a slight chance for the first one. All the legs look really heavy to me, which is not a good sign. The combs and wattles on the white ones are not good at all.

All I can say is keep trying. Last year my first hatch was 14 pullets and seven cockerels. My next hatch was seven cockerels and two pullets. The next was three cockerels and one pullet. It tends to average out in the long term but each hatch can be skewed pretty heavily.

Thanks for your input! Unfortunately I'm pretty in the dark about the rooster's parentage. This is him!

I'll keep my fingers crossed and I won't give up! I just love hatching. It's such a great experience.
