HELP! How to I get mites out of my chicken coop?

I have a small chicken coop.. I've been battling red mites for quite some time. Starting to get a handle of them on my birds but they are hiding in my coop. I have a ceder shake roof on my hen house.. If I tap a piece I see some scatter about. I've been rubbing DE on the outside and inside of the coop. Doesn't seem to be working so well?

How can I get rid of these pests. I only have 3 birds but 1 is setting on eggs. I want to try to get this under control before the babies hatch!

HELP!!!!

Try this.  Good stuff, put it in a sprayer, and spray everything, all surfaces of the coop.   I got it at TractoSupply

Thanks so much! I'll pick some up today! Think it's ok to put it in a spray bottle and spray the inside of my coop with my broody in there or should I move her?

7 Dust. I use it every time I clean my pens. It kills any mites on the floor and the birds dust bath in the new bedding and they get dusted too.

Yeah, it's not like an aerosol, you mix and spray.  Safe, except for bugs.

I use 7 dust to dust my Birds every 7 days but I heard it's not safe for them to inhale or to ingest so I haven't ever used it in the coop?

I've used it for over ten years with no ill effect.

Permethrin dust or spray is approved for use on chickens and in the coop, and works fine.  Carbaryl and most other insecticides aren't approved, so it's better to not use them.  Mary
