I have no idea how long the mama duck was on her nest before getting attacked. Monday they will have been in the incubator for 3 weeks. 2 eggs look almost filled except the air sac. 3 eggs are not looking dark like the other 2. I candle them and try to compare to pictures i see but it's hard to tell what i see. I don't know when to put them in lockdown...any suggestions?
 
Are you using a foam incubator? If so I would keep turning them by hand on their sides till they pip. Then put them on lockdown.
 
It is a foam incubator. How will i know if they pip? I opened a vent today and intend to lay the bottom with wet washcloths. It's hard not to worry about them...
 
Thank you! I am so nervous! I want to meet these little ones! I wish there was a way to tell if they are still alive...
 
I read that it is about 28 days. I will keep turning and misting until i see some difference in them. I hope it all works out.
