Chicks Bullying ????

I had a mixed hatch of bantam silkies and bantam coachin chicks that hatched in the last 48hours. Of all the chicks that hatched there were 9 silkies and only 1 coachin. The coachin was the last to hatch and it wasn't long after the others however, all of the silkies seem to be attacking the coachin and it has become bad enough that her little toes are all bleeding, obviously I have removed her from the others and she is in a box on her own. I don't really know what else to do for her, any advice as to why they would be picking on her? What should I do with a lonely little coachin?

Stay at home mother, and crazy for my chickens. Currently I have a small mixed flock of RIR, Barred Rock, Black Sexlinks. I am sure the breeds are not pure they are feed store left overs that no one else wanted. I also have a small flock of Bantam silkies.

Sometimes chicks confuse toes for worms and try to eat them. Put up a little fence to keep your Cochin amongst the others if they continue, after a day or so they will know what food is and should leave toes alone.
