I have a Cochin that had pasty butt. Was fine last night and sluggish today. I noticed her bottom after lunch and cleaned her up. She's eating, drinking and pooping, though not formed as normal and a little squirty.
Tried the !omma heating pad last night, but had 1 of 3 panti g and since it was late, went back to what I'd been using. Brooder is a kennel, 48" x 30" for the 3 of them. Plenty of space to move about and be warm and cool.
I'm guessing it resulted for being a bit overheated while trying out the heating pad.
Today she just sits while the others explore the yard and sleeps a lot in the brooder.
Is this normal after pasty butt? I've been checking and making sure she's staying clean. Is there anything I can do to help her get her spunk back or just time to recover?
