Hey guys I just wondering why my ducks won't eat ducks food i tried different brands but it isn't working , i see other ducks eat these stuff but mine are so organic :)) , its getting exhausting to feed them

You could try mixing it with some treats????

My first batch of hens won't eat pellets of any brand or hard dog/cat kibble. Some ducks are more particular in their taste preferences and some ducks shy away from things they didn't experience as ducklings. My current batch of ducklings are trying all the different foods I think I might ever want to feed them because it seems like ducklings are more likely to try different foods.

I've had good luck with scratch & peck naturally free whole grain feeds but they will waste the crab meal and fish meal if too much gets mixed in their meals.

Now that I've increased my flock i'm going to start making my own poultry rations because I enjoy the math and I want more control over what they eat.

I fed fermented feed for a while. The ducks really enjoyed it and were super shiny and sassy but I stopped because the odor is really strong. They were still living inside 24x7 while we were building their pen.

how should i make fermented feed? Whats the recipe?sry for newbie question

its ok everyone was a newbie at one time or another, basically you put their feed in a large jar or bucket and then cover with some water until it is all covered, and after that you put in your apple cider vinegar, make sure it has the "mother" braggs is a good brand, and you want it to set a couple days until it gets a sweet fermented smell to it, do your research see if it might work for you there in't a one size fits all for any part of raising poultry.
