I have an Appleyard duckling and a Blue Swedish duckling. I had three others but they all died very suddenly. Got a necropsy done and the suspicion is New Duck Disease. The vet wants to have some cultures grown and antibiotics tested but it is expensive.
The Blue Swedish is pretty healthy, I'm not sure that he ever showed the same signs as the others did. The Appleyard is alive but is weak, doesn't stand for long, has nasal discharge as well.
They are currently on Clavamox. I haven't seen much improvement in the Appleyard.
Has anyone had success treating New Duck Disease?
