I picked up 4 day old EEs, sexed - but I know it isn't guaranteed! Here they are - I get so confused about EE sexing! I know you can have an idea by coloring and combs - but i have zero experience with this (not) breed and I'd love some help!

**Theyre six weeks old! Apologies for bad photos, they're fast and hen-raised so they don't trust me fully yet!

1. The one concerning me most - was bigger from the start than the others. Comb seems a bit pink.

2. I love it's leopard head!

3. With similar colors - but solid black head

4. I think pullet, nothing really rings any rooster bell.

Thank you for your help!

I think #1 is most likely to be your cockerel, those darker red spots on the wings are usually a male characteristic. Your chicks actually look very similar to mine, which I got from a hatchery. My chick that's similar to #1 is getting those same red spots and it's comb is starting to show some color (it was purchased as a sexed pullet, bummer).

But, it is too soon to know for sure. I'd post them again in a couple of weeks.

X2 that's what I was thinking :)
