I have 18 hens and 2 roosters. They are a year and a month old. They are losing their feathers like crazy. Its not all of them. Probably at least half. Its mainly both the roosters and the red hens. Have a black one with feathers off her bottom. We have given them 18 boiled eggs twice in the last week to see if that helps. I thought it was from molting but now thats its warm they are not getting any better. We give them a cup full of scratch feed about 4 days a week. We looked under their feathers but didn't see anything to our eye. We get anywhere from 12 to 16 eggs a day from 18 hens. Their coop stays open so they go in and out as they please. Any ideals of what it could be? Any thoughts on what we can do to help them? Thanks

I can upload the pics from my phone but my computer is another story. Phone doesn't have enough signal right now to upload it . I will keep trying.

I Figured it out. The computer wasn't pulling up the add photo box. After a few tries it showed up. Thanks. I have the photos posted now.

Wow....they look awful! Poor things! Your chickens are probably molting really bad. Some get is worse than others and take a while to grow back. I'm not sure what you can do to help them. The feathers will grow back eventually. The black and white rooster looks the worst. Are quills starting to grow yet?

On the back top they are starting to get some quills back. But now they are losing more feathers up their back and the top part of their wings. Its like they are molting still. I live in Tennessee. Weather has been in the 70 and 80s with a few days of colder rainy weather but not anything too cold. Most kids are wearing shorts and flipflops.
