I'm leaning towards cockerel with the first one. The second one I'm not sure. Young Silkies are hard to sex. My hen barely has any waddles as you can see.

And my roo has much more waddle and comb development. You can see the streamers coming out of his crest BaileyMChicks was referring to. They're both about 7 years old.

The red back ground and pic standing is the same chicken. He's about 4-4 1/2 months old. The bottom pic is about 5 months old.
 
When I said the second one I meant the second Silkie not the second picture. Sorry I didn't clarify!
Silkie 1 I'm thinking a cockerel. The hackle feathers look pretty long and he holds himself more like a cockerel.
Silkie 2 may be a pullet. The crest looks more "feminine", but a picture of it standing would help. Some hens do crow which can really throw you off.

That would make more sense! The bottom one is so sweet! It sits with me lets me hold it, has no fear of me. The other one is the opposite. Doesn't let me touch it, runs from me.
