Hey! So I went to my friend's school and she had one chick hatch from her project as well. So Salsa now has a companion and her name is Penguin. Here is a pic of them.

I'm glad Salsa is doing well! Penguin is cute too. Will they be going to your friend's farm this week?

The kids will be going to their new home Memorial Day. I have to be careful with Salsa though bc I have noticed that she is starting to spread her wings and wants to fly. Lol! Ive caught her out of the box a few times.

Aw! Your chicks are sooooooo cute! I am having some minor complications with my incubator, and my hen hasn't yet incubated the eggs. I am so worried that by the time the incubator is ok for the little eggs , the embryo ' s of the 9 bantam lakenvelder eggs will be dead. If u have any advice plz tell me.

:D Maybe you should get her a box with higher sides. If she gets out and you don't see her she could get injured. I bet you will miss them when they are gone! It's nice you have a good friend with a place for them to go when you can't keep them any more. :)
