I'm not new to keeping poultry, but I've never done turkeys before. I was considering hatching out some Narragansetts as there's a local keeper selling eggs. (Haven't decided, but I'm SERIOUSLY considering it.)
I was hoping you folks might be able to point my in the direction of a turkey primer. What do I need to consider when planning housing? How long from hatch to processing? Having only ever hatched out ducks is there anything particular to hatching turkeys? What do I need to be aware of ahead of time concerning common dietary issues?
