So this chick is 4 1/2 to 5 weeks old and was purchased as a BSL pullet from a reputable feed store from a bin with other BSL chicks, there was no white spot on her head to indicate a rooster. She has a lot of her feathers in now, and she is starting to show that brown feather pattern on her chest and neck that I see a lot of BSL hens have. I also had an EE hen who had a very similar color pattern and I know BSK roos are barred. The only thing that is giving me hesitation is her comb, which is a larger and pinker than her two flockmates who were purchased on the same day. They are all about the same size, but her gold sex link counterpart has a much paler comb. Here she is:
