Selling and going big -- 100+ chicken ideas

Pics
We put them in a "turkey tractor" at age 4 weeks, and let them free range in the afternoon. At 6 weeks, they were allowed outside full time. They don't mind the weather at all. YouTube "Joel Salatin Turkey's" for some good info. You can see part of the tractor in the background in this pic. We still hang their water in there and move the food in when it rains.

Last year I raised 6, a mix of hens and gobblers in a tractor. Worked out fine. This I raised 9 in a tractor, all gobblers, and several had a broken wing when I processed. Guess I need more than 1 tractor for them. I'm not set up to let the free range during the day, so that's not an option.
Looks good though, keep at it.

Made a slight change to the next box doors. We were tired of opening doors to see what was inside and I was worried about the kids opening to find a snake. Cut out the middle and added HW cloth. Had to add the strips for strength.

I just read this whole thread. You did a great job on your set up.

Not sure if you all were always from town or have a background in the country, but farm life is a wonderful life. We both grew up farming and we raised our kids on the farm. And now grandkids. I couldn’t imagine living in town and not farming. (Or working for someone else). We are on a way larger scale but all respectable. It looks like you are taking every opportunity and excelling!

How you DOIN' Jack!?!?
Good to see ya back....catch us up.
We're doing great. Had quite a few ups and downs with the sheep and goats. Wife is now doing farmer markets and we're selling eggs, lamb, and chicken. We just ordered 90 more layers. Our great Pyrenees are allowing us to free range all day, so we now have the space, and we needed more eggs to meet the demand. Also have 20 guineas roaming the property now. Made a mobile roost for them (pic attached).
