HELP my duck egg struggling to hatch

My only duck egg that has pipped, made very little progress after 36 hours so I nervously decided to help a little. I made a bigger hole and pulled a bit of the surrounding shell away. But bleeding occurred so I stopped and he is back in the incubator. I have topped the water up and put a wet paper towel in. Any advice would be so greatful. Now been 38 hours after initial pip, also pipped at wrong end of egg, and appears to be stuck. Pic attached. Many thanks! :-)

Don't mess with it right now. The duckling is soaking up that blood and yolk and will come out when it is ready. If the membrane gets dry, you can wet it with some water. When helping a chick hatch, don't damage the membrane underneath. Try to only peel off a little bit of the shell at a time. Hope this helps. :)
