Hello all,

Completely new here and a brand new Chicken owner. my wife and I are very excited to be raising chickens. We have a total of nine chicks all about 3 weeks old. I am building a coop and run in the backyard and have already found many of your posts very helpful. I would like a bit of help identifying the breeds I have though. We bought our chicks from a local feed and supply store. Supposedly we have 2 production red, 2 Ameraucana, 2 golden laced Wyandotte, and 3 bantams we picked up from Tractor Supply. After looking online, we're not sure that's what we got. Any help and all the advise I can get would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much in advance.

Could you get individual pictures? I see two Production reds, two Easter Eggers, and a Barred rock. Oh and

Welcome to BYC! Some clearer individual photos would be helpful. I think I'm seeing 2 production reds, 3 Easter eggers, 1 gold laced Wyandotte, 1 barred bantam (Plymouth Rock if clean legged or Cochin if feather legged), maybe a white Cochin bantam, and I'm not sure on the black bantam.

Hi there, sorry I can't help identify your chicks, I just wanted you to know that you are not alone. I purchased mine from a local farmers market as well and I don't know what I have. I'm sure they are not what I asked for since one turned out to be a rooster lol Good luck and happy backyard chicken raising. I love mine and wouldn't trade them now for anything.

I was thinking the white one could be a Silkie perhaps. Or maybe a Cochin. Welcome!!! Don't be surprise is the chicken fever sets in...you might see yourself adding more and more to your flock! :D
