Do Chickens eat bees?

Thread Starter

I just put out 2 bee hives in the yard. I let my hens range a few days a week and eventually they are going to find the hives and could probably just stand at the entrance eating their fill. They do like their bugs too, if they find a beetle or caterpillar it's game on.

Most likely it will be fine.

Bees might eat your chicken feed and water.

Great article on VENTILATION, one of THE MOST IMPORTANT aspects of coop design.

Fantastic treatise to help decide how much SPACE your chickens need.

Chicken math is not just 'addition'...but also should include Division, Multiplication and especially Subtraction!!!

Quoting centrarchid:

"Make every effort to understand your chicken's biology and the environment that supports it."
