Hello, so one of my barred rocks has me a little worried mainly because of how big and red "her" comb and waddles are. "She" is 8 weeks old, the same as my other barred rock, buff orpington, (2) welsummers, cream legbar, and (2) austra whites all of which are pullets as well...I think. I have read that barred rock pullets tend to have darker bars than that of cockerels and that they tend to have darker legs and feet. As you can see "she" does have darker legs and feet and is darker barred. "She" also has a stubby tail and doesn't seem to be getting long tail feathers. Developmentally "she" has been the same as the others except "she" does have the biggest reddest comb and waddles. Any thoughts?







 
I sure hope so too. I believe she carries herself like a pullet just was starting to get a bit worried with the comb and waddles
