My chicks have reached 4 weeks. I'm pretty sure on the genders, but it's always nice to have it confirmed by more experienced chicken herders. This is Gary.

Gilda and Goldie That's my 3 Buff Orpingtons.
Princess Laya, the Speckled Sussex
Ducky An Easter Egger
Betty, a Barred Rock
and
Bertha, the other Barred Rock at least I think it's a hen.

I introduced them all to grass today, 1 at a time, which made it a good time to take pictures.

Bertha could still be a girl. Looks like her legs are dark washed on front, not seeing pink comb or wattles yet. I have a barred rock pullet 12 weeks old now, way whiter than should be. Still a pullet though. She was bigger than the others to.

When you get hatchery chicks, they are a mixed bag as far as genetics and they are not worried about breeding for confirmation. So, some are surprises! It's fun to be kept guessing.

Leg color isn't accurate... And I know hatchery BRs are a lot whiter. I've raised a roo and 30+ pullets. It's not only whiteness of barring, but also width :)
