I have three chickens that are two months old and I'm wondering if anyone can help me tell if they are pullets or cockerels. This morning I heard a noise that sounded like a kazoo coming from the coop and im pretty certain that means at least one is a cockerel.
The two red ones are golden comets and were supposed to be sexed by color upon hatching. The black one is an australorp and the one I suspect is my cockerel. Which is a shame because "Pearl" is the most friendly of the group.
Anyhow posted here are some pictures of my flock. The photos with the two chickens together are my suspected cockerels and the single chicken by the coop door planter is what I think is a pullet.
Much appreciated!
