Can chickens eat fish?

Ok, I went fishing today for the state Trout Opener, and I had some scraps from the fish I caught.. I fed them the scraps, and they don't seem to have a problem. I am probably never going to do it again, as I am worried the fish bones could do something bad... Do you think they are alright? They seem fine at the moment, but I am worried some will experience problems... :(

I probably wouldn't give cooked bones, uncooked would be softer. I often give our birds the leftovers when we fillet fish.

Home of the world's cutest dachshund, one crazy blue heeler, two cats,
one fat pony, and many (but not too many!) chickens

Can anyone tell me, how many are too many chickens?
