Need advice! Our two duck eggs started piping this afternoon earlier than we expected. This is our first hatch and I'm worried about the membranes drying out. Does this look ok? Or do I need to do something quick? 😳[IMG]
I am happily married to my retired US Navy DH. We have a 7 yr old son, a 8 month old son, 3 dogs, 3 cats, and 3 Buff Orpington Hens (each 3 yr old), a Mallard duckling, a Buff duckling, and a Pekin duckling. We started out noobs at raising chickens for eggs, but now have at least 3 yrs experience. We are noobs at raising ducks for eggs. Every day in life is an adventure! :)

Only one survived thanks to advice and help I received from people on the Backyard Chickens of Mississippi Facebook Group.

Congrats on your hatchling.  I'm glad someone was able to help you.  I don't know to much about helping them out of the shell.
