Help! I went to check on my chicks this morning and one looked bad. It was very lethargic and brown liquid was coming out of her mouth. She is puffed out. Not sure what happened. 21 chicks and they are ok except her. She is almost gasping for air. I tried to help her by tilting her to gethe the fluid out but she is almost dead. How can I avoid this? What is it?

How old is the chick? Is her crop full and puffy? Or is it hard? Crop problems can cause problems eating, and they can get impacted or infections, such as sour crop. Try giving her SaveAChick vitamins with electrolytes, and massage her crop several times a day. A small amount of plain yogurt for probiotics will help.
